Your Questions Answered

We understand that navigating insurance can be challenging. Here, we've compiled common questions to help you find the information you need quickly.

ACA / Obamacare

Who qualifies for an Obamacare health plan?
Anyone who is a U.S. citizen or legal resident and meets income guidelines (typically between 100%–400% of the federal poverty level) may qualify for government subsidies.

What if I miss Open Enrollment?

You may still enroll during a Special Enrollment Period if you’ve had a qualifying life event—such as losing health coverage, getting married, moving, or having a baby.

Medicare

Do I have to enroll in Medicare at 65 if I'm still working?
Anyone who is a U.S. citizen or legal resident and meets income guidelines (typically between 100%–400% of the federal poverty level) may qualify for government subsidies.

Does Medicare cover dental and vision?

Original Medicare (Part A and B) doesn’t, but many Medicare Advantage (Part C) plans include dental, vision, and hearing benefits.

 Georgia Access

What is Georgia Access?

It’s Georgia’s state-based health insurance marketplace, replacing HealthCare.gov for Georgia residents. It provides the same ACA plans and subsidies, but through a local platform.

Do I need a new account if I used HealthCare.gov before?

Yes. If you live in Georgia, you’ll need to create a new account on Georgia Access to enroll and manage your coverage.

Dental / Vision Insurance

Can I get just dental or vision coverage?

Yes. You can purchase stand-alone dental or vision plans without needing a full medical plan.

When does coverage start?

Many plans start next day!

 Final Expense Insurance

Do I need a medical exam to qualify?

In most cases, no. Many final expense plans offer guaranteed acceptance with just a few health questions.

How long do I have to pay for my policy?

You can choose between lifetime payments or limited payment periods (e.g., 10, 15, or 20 years), depending on your budget and plan.
